Parent Code of Conduct

By ticking the checkbox during registration , both the player and parent/guardian acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to Westpoint Cricket Club Code of conduct

Westpoint Cricket Club is committed to providing a safe, enjoyable, inclusive, and respectful environment for all junior players. This Code of Conduct applies to all players from Cricket Blast through to Under 17s.

1. Respect Everyone
All players must:

  • Treat teammates, opponents, coaches, volunteers, umpires, and spectators with respect.
  • Use positive language and good manners at all times.
  • Listen when coaches, managers, or officials are speaking.
  • Respect cultural diversity and individual differences.

2. Play Fair
Players are expected to:

  • Play by the rules and spirit of cricket.
  • Be honest and show good sportsmanship.
  • Accept umpire decisions respectfully.
  • Congratulate opponents and teammates after matches.
  • Win with humility and lose with dignity. 

3. Team First
Every player should: 

  • Support and encourage teammates.
  • Include everyone regardless of ability.
  • Celebrate team achievements.
  • Put the team’s interests ahead of individual success.
  • Help create a positive and welcoming environment. 

4. Behaviour Standards
Players must not:

  • Use abusive, offensive, or inappropriate language.
  • Bully, tease, intimidate, or exclude others.
  • Display aggressive behaviour.
  • Damage club or venue property.
  • Engage in discrimination, harassment, or cyberbullying.

5. Training and Match Expectations
Players should:

  • Arrive on time and prepared.
  • Wear the correct club uniform and protective equipment.
  • Bring water, sunscreen, and required cricket gear.
  • Inform coaches if they cannot attend.
  • Give their best effort at training and matches.

6. Safety First
Players must:

  • Follow all safety instructions.
  • Wear helmets and protective equipment when required.
  • Report injuries immediately.
  • Respect weather and heat policies.
  • Use equipment responsibly.

7. Social Media and Technology
Players are expected to:

  • Use social media responsibly.
  • Never post negative comments about teammates, opponents, coaches, or officials.
  • Respect privacy when sharing photos or videos.
  • Avoid online bullying or inappropriate messaging.

Every player is an ambassador of the club.
Breaches of the Code
If a player or guardian breaches this Code of Conduct, the club may take appropriate action, including:

  1. Verbal reminder.
  2. Discussion with parents or guardians.
  3. Temporary removal from training or matches.
  4. Formal disciplinary action by the club committee.
